RESTLESS Startup Awards Final Conference Showcases HealthTech Innovation in Cyprus
The RESTLESS journey reached an inspiring conclusion with the RESTLESS Startup Awards Final Conference, a landmark event celebrating HealthTech innovation and entrepreneurial talent in Cyprus.
Bringing together emerging entrepreneurs, academic partners and industry leaders, the event marked the culmination of the RESTLESS project’s mission to empower university students and graduates through health entrepreneurship training.
Spotlight on Europe’s Emerging HealthTech Startups
A total of 11 startup teams from five European countries took the stage to present their HealthTech ideas. Each team showcased innovative solutions addressing real challenges within the healthcare sector, reflecting the entrepreneurial, digital and green skills fostered through the RESTLESS Training Programme.
The atmosphere was dynamic and forward-looking, enriched by contributions from inspiring speakers, founders and ecosystem stakeholders. The event demonstrated how higher education, industry collaboration and targeted training can drive innovation within Europe’s health sector.
The RESTLESS Startup Awards highlighted not only individual achievements but also the growing strength of Europe’s HealthTech ecosystem.
A Final Milestone for the RESTLESS Consortium
The momentum continued the following day with the 4th Transnational Meeting, where project partners gathered to reflect on achievements, evaluate outcomes and formally close the collaboration.
This final meeting marked a meaningful milestone in the 24-month journey that brought together Higher Education Institutions and Small and Medium Enterprises from Poland, Germany, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus.
Throughout the project, RESTLESS developed and piloted a comprehensive Health Entrepreneurship Training Programme, organised bootcamps and supported students in transforming innovative ideas into viable HealthTech concepts.
Celebrating Impact and Looking Ahead
The Final Conference in Cyprus was more than a closing event. It was a celebration of cross-border cooperation, student empowerment and the future of health innovation in Europe.
By reducing the skills mismatch in the health industry and strengthening entrepreneurial capacity among university students and graduates, RESTLESS has contributed to building a more resilient and innovation-driven healthcare ecosystem.
While the project cycle may have reached its end, the impact of RESTLESS will continue through its training materials, partnerships and the next generation of HealthTech entrepreneurs it has helped inspire.
