To mark the end of this remarkable journey, we are pleased to share our final newsletter… a snapshot of everything we accomplished together.

The RESTLESS project continues to empower the next generation of health entrepreneurs, with a successful pilot training and bootcamp delivered at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) in Portugal.

On October 31st and November the 7th, first-year Master’s students in Biomedical Sciences took part in the RESTLESS pilot and bootcamp, engaging in hands-on entrepreneurship training and a dynamic mini hackathon focused on innovation in the health sector.

Turning Biomedical Knowledge into HealthTech Innovation

The two-day programme introduced students to key concepts in health entrepreneurship, innovation management and solution development. Through practical workshops and guided teamwork, participants explored how scientific expertise can be translated into scalable and sustainable health solutions.

During the mini hackathon, students worked collaboratively to address real-world healthcare challenges, applying entrepreneurial thinking and digital competences to shape innovative concepts.

The bootcamp culminated in a pitching session where teams presented their solutions to peers and mentors, demonstrating both technical insight and business potential.

PreVent and Healthlink to Represent UBI in the Final Challenge

Among the projects presented, PreVent and Healthlink stood out for their strong value proposition and innovative approach. These two teams will represent the University of Beira Interior in the RESTLESS Final Challenge in Cyprus this February.

Their selection highlights the impact of structured entrepreneurship training in equipping students with the confidence and skills to compete at a European level.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Health Entrepreneurs

The event also featured inspiring contributions from Gonçalo Fonseca from BEVED and Ana Cristóvão from Neurosov, who shared their entrepreneurial journeys and offered valuable insights into launching ventures within the health ecosystem.

By combining academic excellence with entrepreneurial practice, the RESTLESS project continues to address the skills mismatch in the health sector and foster innovation-driven mindsets among university students.

As the selected teams prepare for the Final Challenge in Cyprus, the momentum around health innovation within the RESTLESS network continues to grow.

More updates will follow as the journey progresses!
