RESTLESS Project Meeting in Larissa Advances Health Entrepreneurship Training for University Students
On November 5th & 6th, the RESTLESS project consortium met in Larissa, Greece, for its second transnational project meeting, marking a key milestone in the development of its Health Entrepreneurship Training Programme.
RESTLESS (empoweRing univErsity Students Through heaLth EntrepreneurShip trainingS) brings together Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from Poland, Germany, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus. The project aims to reduce the skills mismatch in the health sector by equipping university students and graduates with entrepreneurial, digital and green competences aligned with labour market needs.
Strengthening Collaboration Across Europe
The two-day meeting provided an important opportunity for partners to review progress, coordinate upcoming activities and further strengthen cross-border collaboration. With the health industry evolving rapidly, close cooperation between academia and business remains central to the project’s mission.
Discussions focused on aligning educational content with real-world expectations from health-related companies, ensuring that the training programme reflects current industry challenges and innovation trends.
Progress on the RESTLESS Health Entrepreneurship Training Programme
A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to advancing the RESTLESS Training Programme, a structured curriculum consisting of 10 modules (20–30 hours of instruction). The programme is designed to help students from Medicine, Life Sciences, Business, Engineering and ICT develop practical entrepreneurial skills within the health ecosystem.
Partners reviewed module development, learning outcomes and delivery methodology, ensuring that the content supports:
- Entrepreneurial mindset development
- Digital innovation in healthcare
- Green and sustainable business approaches
- Practical, market-oriented skills
By integrating input from employers and health sector managers, RESTLESS ensures that its training directly responds to labour market demands.
Preparing for the Cologne Training Event 2025
The consortium also focused on preparations for the upcoming major training event scheduled for April 2025 in Cologne, Germany. This event will play a crucial role in piloting the programme and paving the way for the RESTLESS Health Entrepreneurship Bootcamps.
These bootcamps will offer participants hands-on learning experiences, idea validation opportunities and direct interaction with industry experts, empowering the next generation of health innovators.
